1. Cut & Fold: Position the motif on paper as desired and secure with low tack tape. Place a cutting mat under the paper and cut along the template lines with a craft knife. Remove the template. Score the fold lines down the center. Fold the motif back and secure if desired.

2. Emboss: Secure template to paper with low tack tape. Turn paper over and place it on a light table (paper side up). Trace the motif openings using an embossing tool. If you want to add color, leave the template in place and turn the paper over. Stencil as directed below.

3. Stencil: Secure template to paper with low tack tape. Dip brush into prepared paint, chalk, or ink. Swirl brush briskly onto paper towel to remove excess paint. Tap the color onto the surface. Create a blended effect by rubbing the brush in a circular motion.

Tips:

Use embossing tool to score for easier folding.

Use cardstock paper for best results.

Use double sided paper to get a two toned effect.

Folds may be done on either side of paper, printed or plain.

Experiment for different effects.

Use the center motif to accent the open motif.
